Cory Briggs (19:35) *Rides into town, leaving his horse at a local stablelry and goes to find an appropriate beverage*
(19:47) *Eons ago, the heavens were at war. Storms rolled over the lands, fire fell from the sky and Seren, the star of the gods shattered. The shattered star fell from the sky in the form of crystals still fused with the power of the gods. Housed now in respective temples, they are the source of power for healers, psions and other forces of magic. It is commonly believed that all the pieces had been found, but there have been whispers in dark places that there are lost pieces still, shards that hold ominous and dark power that could again bring the world to the brink. There are those who know of these whispers that believe that signs have been seen to indicate that an unknown force has began gathering the missing shards. It is in the city of Nashai, the home of the Temple of Dreams that the first visions had been seen. Five, one for each shard, had to be chosen to prevent this eventuality.*

Cory Briggs (19:54) *finds a local establishment* *sits at the bar, his back io the corner farthest from the door*
Gavin (19:55) *stands behind bar made of rough hewn timber. Oil lamps and braziers provide the light for the raucous and weary travelers, workers, and thieves known to collect at such establishments*
Cory Briggs (19:56) Good man, what beverage might you have that will soothe the aches of a weary traveler, yet not render him totally without mind?
Cory Briggs (19:56) *takes off his jacket*
Gavin (19:58) *looks at Cory, listens to his question, then looks up and scratches his chin* What? You mean like the mud puddles? *jerks a thumb towards the open door and the rain beyond*
